1. Sponsor and Administrator

The CMHN Emotional Resilience Backpack Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored and administered by Climate Mental Health Network (“CMHN”), a fiscally sponsored project of Mockingbird Incubator, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 83-1987515. Patagonia donated the backpacks being awarded as prizes but is not responsible for the administration of the Giveaway or selection of winners.

 

2. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are 14 years of age or older at the time of entry. Entrants who are under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. If an entrant under 18 is selected as a potential winner, CMHN may require confirmation of parent or legal guardian consent before awarding the prize. Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family or household members of CMHN or Mockingbird Incubator are not eligible to enter. The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

 

3. Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins on August 13, 2026 and ends on August 27, 2026 (“Giveaway Period”). Entries received outside of the Giveaway Period will not be eligible.

 

4. How to Enter

To enter the Giveaway, participants must complete the following steps on the designated CMHN Instagram Giveaway post during the Giveaway Period:

• Follow @climatementalhealth on Instagram.

• Like the Giveaway post.

• Comment on the Giveaway post with an answer to the question: What would you put in a backpack for emotional resilience?

• Tag a friend in the comment.

Limit one entry per person during the Giveaway Period. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, generated through bots, or otherwise fail to comply with these Official Rules may be disqualified at CMHN’s discretion.

 

5. Prizes

Two (2) winners will each receive one (1) Patagonia backpack donated to CMHN by Patagonia. Backpack models and retail values vary. The specific backpack awarded to each winner will be selected by CMHN based on available donated inventory. Winners may not request a particular model, color, or retail value. Prizes may not be transferred or redeemed for cash. No prize substitution will be permitted except at CMHN’s discretion if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, in which case a prize of comparable value may be substituted.

 

6. Winner Selection and Notification

Two potential winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. Winners are scheduled to be announced on Monday, August 31, 2026. Potential winners will be contacted by CMHN through the @climatementalhealth Instagram account. CMHN will never require payment or financial information in order to claim a prize. Potential winners must respond and provide any information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and deliver the prize by Monday, September 14, 2026. If a potential winner does not respond by September 14, 2026, cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules, CMHN reserves the right to select an alternate winner at random from the remaining eligible entries. Potential winners under age 18 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian confirm consent before the prize is awarded.

 

7. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.

 

8. Prize Delivery and Personal Information

Winners will be required to provide a valid U.S. mailing address and any other information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and deliver the prize. For winners under age 18, CMHN may request this information from or with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Information collected in connection with the Giveaway will be used for Giveaway administration and prize fulfillment and otherwise handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. CMHN is not responsible for prizes that cannot be delivered because a winner provides incomplete or inaccurate mailing information.

 

9. General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to comply with these Official Rules and accept CMHN’s decisions regarding the administration of the Giveaway as final, subject to applicable law. CMHN reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to interfere with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, submits fraudulent or automated entries, or otherwise acts in a manner that compromises the integrity or fair administration of the Giveaway. If the Giveaway cannot be conducted as planned due to circumstances beyond CMHN’s reasonable control, CMHN reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Giveaway.

 

10. Instagram Disclaimer and Release

This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering, each participant acknowledges that they are providing their information to CMHN and not to Instagram and agrees to completely release Instagram from any responsibility or liability associated with the Giveaway to the extent permitted by law.

 

11. Patagonia Relationship

The backpacks offered as prizes through this Giveaway were donated to Climate Mental Health Network by Patagonia. CMHN is responsible for administering the Giveaway, establishing and enforcing these Official Rules, selecting winners, and distributing the prizes. Patagonia is not responsible for the administration of the Giveaway or selection of winners.
